Privacy Policy
Your privacy is our top priority. Here's how ScreenVault protects your data.
🔒 Privacy-First Design
ScreenVault is completely client-side. Your screenshots never leave your device.
- ✓All data stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB
 - ✓No user accounts or authentication required
 - ✓No server-side storage or cloud uploads
 - ✓No third-party tracking or analytics
 - ✓Complete data portability via export/import

What Data We Collect
None. ScreenVault does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All your screenshots, metadata, and activity history remain exclusively in your browser's local storage.
How Your Data is Stored
ScreenVault uses your browser's IndexedDB to store:
- Screenshots (as Base64-encoded images)
 - Screenshot metadata (titles, descriptions, tags)
 - Collections you create
 - Activity history

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it.
Sharing Screenshots
When you use the share functionality:
- Shared URLs contain only metadata (title, description, tags, thumbnail)
 - Full-resolution images are NOT included in shared links
 - Recipients can view metadata but cannot access your original screenshots
 - You remain in full control of what you share

Third-Party Services
ScreenVault does not integrate with any third-party tracking, analytics, or advertising services. We do not use cookies for tracking purposes. The application runs entirely in your browser.
Data Deletion
You can delete your data at any time:
- Delete individual screenshots or collections from within the app
 - Clear all data by clearing your browser's storage for this site
 - Export your data before deletion to keep a backup

Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update this page. Since ScreenVault is client-side only, any updates will be reflected in the application code, which you can inspect at any time.
